            A Heritage of Excellence.

The Lake Travis High School Cheerleading program began in 1981, when the school was opened.

Each year, the Cheerleading program typically consists of the following squads: Freshman, Junior Varsity, Varsity, and Competition. The Competition squad competes against other high school teams on a national level with a choreographed routine that involves tumbling, stunting, dance, and cheer.

The Lake Travis Cheerleaders cheer at all LTHS major athletic events and have cheered our LTHS Varsity Football team on to four State Championship victories. They have cheered at the DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium at the University of Texas, the Alamodome, and the NFL Cowboy Stadium in Dallas.

            Philanthropy
The Lake Travis Cheerleading Program is dedicated to serving the local community and helping those in need. Members of the program regularly volunteer their time to local organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Capital Area Food Bank, BookSpring, Austin Groups for the Elderly, Meals on Wheels, Susan G. Komen Foundation, and others. Some members volunteer their time through local chapters of the National Charity League, Inc.

A few members have regularly volunteered more than 100 hours in a calendar year, earning them the prestigious Gold-level President's Volunteer Service Award, awarded by the White House.

Leaders On and Off the Field
